VAT rate on receipts

This feature allows the app developer to choose and set the VAT rate for purchases and subscriptions based on the applicable tax regime, so that it is displayed correctly on receipts.

Feature availability conditions

To make the “VAT on receipts” setting available, make sure that all of the following conditions are met:

  1. You are using an account with the app owner, administrator, or finance manager role.
  2. Monetization is enabled and configured correctly in the app settings.
  3. The owner is registered as a legal entity / sole proprietor.
tip

In other cases, the rate will be applied without the ability to change it:

  • For self-employed — “No VAT”.
  • For non-residents — 20%.

How to change the VAT rate

Go to Monetization → Payment management. In the upper-right corner of the interface, you will see the current VAT rate applied to receipts for the tax authority and customers.

You can also change the VAT rate on the Subscriptions and One-time purchases pages.
The interface on these pages allows you to choose a rate before the first payments appear.
