How to issue coupons

Coupons are configured and issued in RuStore Console. Before creating coupons, come up with the theme of your promotion and the conditions for receiving a discount.

Before you start​

Make sure the company is not blocked, monetization is enabled for it, and the app allows making purchases.

Only users with the following roles can issue and manage coupons: “Company Owner”, “Administrator”, and “Financial Manager”.

  1. Open RuStore Console and go to your app.

  2. In the left menu, select Monetization — Coupons and click Add or Add coupons.

    The coupon creation form will open:

  3. Fill out the form:

    ParameterDescription
    Console name

    The coupon name that will be displayed in RuStore Console.

    For example, “300 ₽ discount on orders from 1000 ₽”.

    Console commentDetails about the issued coupons and the promotion conditions.
    Short description

    A short description with key information about the coupon. The user will see this description in the list of received coupons. The discount amount and validity period are displayed in the coupon automatically, so you don’t need to specify this information.

    For example, “For all items from 1000 ₽”.

    Detailed description

    Everything the user needs to know about the coupon and the conditions for using it. The user will see this description when they open the coupon in their RuStore account. The discount amount and validity period are displayed in the coupon automatically, so you don’t need to specify this information.

    For example, “Use the coupon to save on any purchase from 1000 ₽. Hurry up, the promotion is time-limited!”.

    Product group

    You can restrict the types of items the coupons apply to or allow the coupon to be used for any purchases.

    • All items — it doesn’t matter what exactly the user is buying.
    • Consumables only — for example, in-game currency.
    • Non-consumables only — for example, access to the full version of the app or a skin in the game.
    Specify the minimum item price
    • Enable the toggle if the coupon should work only for items from a certain amount.
    • Disable the toggle if the coupon can be applied to a purchase of any item amount.

    The final purchase price after applying the coupon cannot be less than 1 ₽. If the coupon value exceeds the item price, the user will pay 1 ₽, and the remaining coupon discount will be forfeited.

    Coupon validity period

    The period during which users will be able to issue coupons and receive a discount on a purchase.

    • From the moment the coupon is opened — the countdown starts when the coupon appears in the user’s RuStore account.
    • Fixed period — the coupon can be applied only until the specified date, regardless of when the user received it.
    Discount

    The discount amount the coupon provides.

    For example, 300 ₽.

    Number of coupons

    How many coupons users will be able to issue via this link.

    Validity period of the coupon claim linkThe period during which users will be able to follow the link and issue coupons in their account.

  4. Click Add to issue the coupons.

Next steps​

After the coupons are successfully issued, a link will appear that you can share with users of your app.

Embed the link in an email campaign, a social media post, or simply send it to customers you have agreed on a discount with. After that, you will be able to track coupon issuance in the upper-right corner on the screen above.
